Freeport-McMoRan's 2018 Working Toward Sustainability Report is now available online.

The company's 2018 Working Toward Sustainability Development Report is now available online. 

The report titled "Proven Assets. Fundamental Value." highlights Freeport-McMoRan's sustainable development programs – including approach, focus areas and performance – and looks at key issues affecting the company and its stakeholders. 

"With the report, we review the sustainability programs and performance that strengthen our ability to deliver social purpose. In doing so, our sharp focus is on maintaining broad stakeholder acceptance to operate our long-lived assets as well as providing responsibly produced products to expanding and cleaner economies," said Gerald R. Ford, Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, and Richard C. Adkerson, Vice Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, in the report's introductory letter. 

In the report, you'll learn about the company's:

  • Sustainability policies, management systems and focus areas
  • Progress on key issues, such as tailings management, human rights and product stewardship
  • Focus on renewable and low carbon energy sources (87 percent of purchased power)
  • Average water use efficiency at 86 percent
  • Efforts to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
