Cochise County junior high and high school students learn first hand about award-winning reclamation work via a tour at Bisbee Discontinued Operations.

From the top of an active reclamation project known as the South Bisbee Stockpile, junior high and high school students serving as Chief Science Officers for their respective schools learn about award-winning reclamation work at Bisbee Discontinued Operations from Shane Gill, Senior Engineering Specialist. The group toured the site as part of the Chief Science Officer program, which is sponsored by Freeport-McMoRan. As officers, the students help promote STEM education and activities at their schools in Cochise County.
